Solomon arrest A man allegedly involved in a weekend assault, was picked up Wednesday on multiple warrants after he walked into Cocke County General Sessions Court for a hearing. Ricky Earl Solomon, 42, Grassy Fork Road, Hartford was arrested by Deputy Tyler Chambers. Officer Chambers was told that Solomon was wanted on 15 warrants, and as a result the suspect was taken into custody on seven counts violation of a court order, aggravated domestic assault, aggravated sexual battery, theft over $1,000, possession of stolen property, harassment, second offense driving on a revoked license and two counts failure to appear for a court hearing. The charges stem from an August 20 incident in which a female reported that Solomon came by her home and forced his way into her residence, where the woman was assaulted. Solomon was under a restraining order at the time and was not to be around the victim. The female said she was chased outside where she was attacked on her lawn and then dragged back into her home by the hair. The woman sustained extensive injuries over her body and required treatment at the Newport Medical Center. The theft and stolen property charges stem from the theft of a 1987 Chevrolet which was allegedly stolen from Boyce Gentry, Dykes Street, Newport, and driven to the home of the female assault victim.
