Kenjo robbery
Newport authorities are investigating the Monday morning robbery of the Kenjo Market on the Cosby Road. Clerk Cori Walker told Patrol Officer William Garber that a white male entered the store at 4:40 a.m., came behind the counter and displayed a pocketknife. He told Walker, "Give me all your money, this is nothing personal". The robber then fled with $317. The intruder is described as about 6 feet tall, slender built and wearing a black long sleeved shirt with dark jeans. He also wore a blue or black bandanna, black cap with a white bill, dark shoes and a black backpack.
