Mayor Ottinger appointed to state board
Earlier this week Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam appointed a number of residents to various state committees and boards. Cocke County Mayor Crystal Ottinger has been appointed to the Local Government Planning Advisory Committee. The committee has the duty to: Advise the commissioner on the administration of local planning assistance by the local planning assistance or any other state agency with the objective of employing and maintaining on a merit basis professionally qualified planning personnel to provide competent and independent planning, consulting and advisory services to local governments desiring such services; and exercise the powers over regional planning commissions.
