Fire destroys Jasmine Drive home
Cocke County authorities are investigating a Saturday evening fire which destroyed a mobile home on Jasmine Drive. According to Cocke County firefighters who responded to the 10:47 p.m. alarm, they found flames coming through the roof of the home. Neighbors to firefighters the home was in foreclosure proceedings, and the occupants had moved out. The firefighters report indicated that all of the belongings had been moved from the home however, some remained on the lawn outside the residence. \ The cause of the fire has not been determined however a sheriff's department detective has been asked to assist in the probe. Firefighters estimate the loss in the blaze totals $50,000.
