Gunter death Cocke County authorities are investigating the Monday death of a Cosby man. Deputy Wes Keys identified the victim as Kenneth Ray Gunter, Middle Creek Road. Vickie Gunter told the officer that she and her husband had been arguing about money and his missing deer rifle. She reported that Mr. Gunter had been drinking and taking his prescribed medication for several hours. When Mrs. Gunter heard her husband playing with a gun in the bedroom, she went to investigate and was told by Mr. Gunter "there is only one bullet in the gun." He then held the 38 caliber handgun to his neck and shot himself. The victim was 61 years-old.
