Stewart arrest
Cocke County deputies who on Monday responded to a reported fight on West Highway 25/70, found a Jefferson County man walking on Dina Drive, carrying a bible and wearing only underwear. Timothy Scott Stewart, 31, Jersey Way, Dandridge, told Deputy Jonathan Ball he was "faith walking". The subject had extensive cuts and abrasions all over his body, and admitted to using methamphetamine. He was taken into custody for his own safety. Officers who examined the bible found a baggie of 1.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside. Stewart now is charged with possession of methamphetamine and public intoxication.
