Commodity distribution
Patricia Spurgeon, Coordinator of the Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority.....Cocke County Neighborhood Center, says commodity distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23, beginning at 8:30 am at the Newport National Guard Armory on Armory Road. Coordinator Douglas Cherokee will be distributing 40 45 pounds of Commodity food to Cocke Co residents. In addition, the Economic Authority will be hosting a Social Service Day Fair at the same time. There will be about 15 community agencies set up giving information to the public regarding their services.
