Run for the Wall
More than 300 motorcycles, participating in the annual Run For The Wall, on Tuesday stopped for refueling at the Downtown Hartford Citgo in Hartford. The cycles are headed to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. in time for a Memorial Day ceremony. "What we are doing here is supporting veterans of all wars. We have people who suffer from PTSD, all the way back to the Vietnam War and since then our government has been pretty busy. These folks find this to be a very healing experience," said Les Williams of Colorado. He explained that the 29th. annual run started in California, and follows three routes to the Memorial. Williams was a pilot with the US Marine Corp and retired as a Colonel after 32 years.
