Hoverboard theft
Newport authorities are looking for a black female who on Wednesday took seven hoverboards and two Toy Tigers from the Walmart store. Loss Prevention Officer Doug Justice told Patrol Officer Josh Holt that one woman left the store with the items and two other black females left additional hoverboards behind when they "got spooked". The three black females fled in a white SUV headed south on Highway 321. Justice said the stolen hoverboards are valued at $1,386 and the Tigers are valued at $200.
