Buy wine and alcohol tomorrow
A bill allowing seven-day bottle sales of wine and spirits is now the law in Tennessee. Gov. Bill Haslam on Friday signed the legislation which allows package stores to begin selling wine and liquor on Sundays immediately. But consumers will have to wait until Jan. 1 to be able to purchase wine from grocery stores on Sunday. Sponsors say they brought the legislation, which expands a bill allowing super markets to sell wine, after constituents complained about not being able to purchase wine on Sundays.
