Clint Hammonds
Clint Hammonds, Project Engineer for Newport Utilities says work is continuing to progress eastward on East Broadway, as workmen continue to replace water and wastewater piping under the thoroughfare. Flowable fill and paving are planned for next Monday and Tuesday. Newport Utilities anticipates closing the McSween Ave. Intersection on Wednesday, August 22. Because Court Ave. is a one-way street, the detour wili begin at Baer Ave. Access to the courthouse will be from McSween Ave and buildings on Broadway will continue to have access to their parking because the block will be divided into two sections.
