Woody ATV crash
A Hartford man escaped serious injury Sunday afternoon when his Polaris Razor ATV left Dogwood Stand Road and struck a tree. Harold Woody, Black Mountain Road said he jumped from the ATV as it left the roadway. Lt. Walter Cross, Jr. of the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department said the Polaris struck a tree after it left the roadway. Other agencies who assisted at the scene included the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department, Newport Rescue Squad and First Call EMS. Lt. Cross said the ambulance service transported Woody to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville where he was treated and released.
