Huskey fire
Cocke County fire officials say they do not know the cause of a Thursday night fire which destroyed a log home on Deerfoot Road in the Cosby community. Firefighters responded to the Clarance Huskey home at 11:48 pm to find the residence completely engulfed in flames. Cosby and Grassy Fork volunteer firefighters also worked the blaze. Cocke County firemen returned to the fire scene later Friday morning when the embers rekindled. The total loss in the blaze is estimated at $150,000.
