Boswell search continues
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined the search for 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell, who is the subject of a statewide Amber Alert issued last week. "Agents and detectives continue to work around the clock in an effort to find her," the TBI said in a reference to the blond, blue eyed girl. Evelyn, who is from Blountville, was last seen in December, but wasn't reported missing by her family until Feb. 18. The TBI issued an Amber Alert the next day at the request of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. "We're talking about two months," Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy. "And it's hindering our investigation." Also obstructing the search are "conflicting" statements from the 21-year-old mother, Megan "Maggie" Boswell, investigators say. They add that some of the information is conflicting or inaccurate. A reward totaling $56,000 has been offered for information leading to Evelyn's safe return. The TBI said Sunday it had received 375 tips regarding the missing child, but none has led to the girl. Investigators also announced they had arrested two people traveling in a gray 2007 BMW, who they say may have information about Evelyn's whereabouts. Law officers say, Evelyn, is 2 feet tall and was last seen wearing a pink tracksuit, pink shoes and a pink bow. Authorities have asked anyone with information about Evelyn Boswell to contact the TBI at 1-800-824-3463 (TBI-FIND).
