Cocke County crash
A Cocke County man sustained serious injuries in a Friday single vehicle crash on Interstate 40. Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Nathan Hall said the 11:45 am crash occurred near the 432 exit onto Highway 25/70. Joshua Barnes Taylor, 40, Newport was westbound when he lost control of his 2010 Ford Ranger, and crashed into the inside guardrail at the bridge over Highway 25/70. The pickup truck rolled and Taylor who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected. He was airlifted to the UT Medical Center. The westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a short time while the crumpled guardrail was removed from the roadway
